It was time to put the old boozer to good use again after the Outside/Festival. So here continuing to my chronicle and cooperation with Jelly and their monthly appointments with 3rd Thursday, the old pub became an open stage on the street with local band You Have Spoken and music charity Readipop performing for the people to celebrate the town musical creativity.
All of this while a heavy rain battered outside, in one of the wettest days of the year.
More about this event and Jelly here.

ye olde grubby boozer
.... i.e. great community spirit.
Those creative and inventive people at Jelly have recently managed to secure a great space to be used as community art space in the centre of Reading. However the place required a bit of scrubbing and several retouches and more nips and tucks here and there. Their request for help raised the attention of several people who through social media spread the message to an even bigger audience. Many people turned out to help bring the place up to working standard ready to host the Outside/Inside Festival in July and many more art and community events in the following months
