about

husband, dad and photographic artist. A Sicilian based for several years in Reading UK, shooting metres of film and getting high on fixer fumes, for Salvo photography is an appreciation for what is seen and experienced. He uses photography as a mean to engage the viewer in a photographic narrative. Wandering and observing happenings in the street, and generally around is fascinating and never repetitive. A picture of people passing by, going about their business, sitting on a bench or waiting for some friend tells a story. People move, don’t repeat their gestures. Capturing the right moment requires patience, sympathy, affinity, adaptation and perseverance. His photography is a documentary of his experiences. He is his worst critic, constantly endeavouring to take pictures which tell stories and... he is passionate about what he does.
Salvo is based in Reading and is a member of the Whiteknight Studio Trail in Reading since 2010.
